ZeBrain

Welcome to ZeBrain !!

ZeBrain is a database containing GFP expression patterns in the adult zebrafish brain obtained from transgenic zebrafish created in Kawakami lab at National Institute of Genetics, Mishima, Japan.

In Kawakami lab, a large number of transgenic fish have been generated by the Tol2 transposon-mediated gene trap and enhancer trap methods, that express the Gal4FF transcription activator in spatially and temporally restricted fashions (1). From this transgenic resource, transgenic fish that show specific Gal4FF expression in the adult brain have been collected and analyzed by sectioning. The ZeBrain database was constructed to easily search these useful transgenic fish lines for expression patterns of interests.
